California hosts charity event in memory of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev

A charity event dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in San Diego, California’s second largest city. During the event, hundreds of homeless San Diego residents received hot meals.

Initiated and sponsored by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, the event was held at Father Joe’s Villages, which is one of the largest providers of services to homeless and underprivileged men, women and children in the United States. United.

Father Joe’s Villages thanked the Consulate General for helping the homeless through this important charity event. As the largest provider of residential services for the homeless in Southern California, Father Joe’s Villages has been helping homeless residents become self-sufficient for over 65 years. What began as a small chapel serving the poor in San Diego has grown into a leading provider of innovative housing programs and services. Father Joe’s provides up to 3,000 meals to people every day, from infants and teenagers to adults and seniors. This includes over 200 children and over 200 military veterans. There are currently over 8,000 homeless residents in San Diego County.
