Cross-Country Course Walk charity event this weekend

IF you as a runner want to know how to tackle a cross-country course, why not join Irish international runner Casey Webb at Ash Hollow, Dromore, Co. Tyrone this Sunday October 9 at 2pm?

Casey, who is based with Steven and Trevor Smith in Gilford, will share her cross-country expertise during a walk in Ash Hollow. Casey represented Ireland as a young rider in 2017 and regularly competes nationally and internationally in eventing, as well as being a successful producer of young horses. Casey’s recent successes include being the Northern Region’s top EI115 combination in 2021 with “Aprils Pacino Time”, as well as the HIS Eight/Nine-Year-Old Mares Development League winning combination.

Alison Callion, owner of Ash Hollow and Casey have come together to raise money for Air Ambulance NI and David Foster Injured Riders Fund, two charities close to the hearts of Alison and Casey.

Casey will walk you through the course at Ash Hollow, sharing her thoughts on each obstacle and explaining how she thinks runners should tackle the fence. Whatever your level, height or size of the fences, preparation is paramount! Casey will also talk about ground conditions, timing and more.

This is your chance to gather some real insider info and you’ll also have the chance to ask Casey questions about his career to date, his horses and some of his recent results.

The price for the event is £10 per adult and £5 per child, which includes tea, coffee and cake.
