Jamaica College Alumni Association Hosts Florida Golf Tournament

The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida (JCOBAFL) will host the first annual Blue Links Classic Golf Tournament on May 14, 2022 at Jacaranda Golf Course in Plantation, Florida. The charity event will be held in a four-person Best Shot (Scramble) format. Proceeds from the event will be used to support young men currently enrolled at Jamaica College.

JCOBAFL invites golfers of all experience levels to have fun while testing their skills, knowing that their participation helps JC students, unifies the community and strengthens its bond with the school.

JCOBAFL President Xavier Murphy said, “We are thrilled to have our first annual Blue Links Classic event here in South Florida and look forward to the community showcasing their golf skills in this effort to fundraising,” he added. the goal is to continue to help create a bright future for boys in Jamaica “We look forward to creating a bright future for Jamaican students whom we will support with the funds raised.

In addition to the golf tournament, JCOBAFL will also hold two raffles. The first draw will be a weekend for two at Sandals Jamaica. Tournament participants can register for $10 and non-tournament participants for $20. Participants can also enter the 50/50 draw for $5.

All proceeds from the event will go to the JCOBAFL scholarship fund with additional funds for Jamaica College operating expenses.

The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida was established in 2004. Since its inception, JCOBAFL has been committed to maintaining Jamaica College’s traditions of excellence as one of Jamaica’s premier educational institutions and to support the school in the development of its students.
