Motown Theme for Mayor of Tameside Civic’s Charity Ball – Quest Media Network
The Municipal Mayor of Tameside, Councilor Janet Cooper.
The Civic Mayor of Tameside’s Spring Charity Ball may be held in Dukinfield, but the music will be made in Detroit.
Councilor Janet Cooper, a Motown fan, hopes people will come from far and wide to attend the event, which will take place at City Hall on Saturday, March 26.
All proceeds will be donated to the Mayor’s Charitable Appeal Fund, which this year supports Cascade Baby Bundles, Friends of Tameside Young Carers, the Tameside Scanner Appeal and Tameside 4 Good.
Cllr Cooper said: ‘After the trials of the past two years when Covid meant we weren’t able to hold a ball, it would be great to have the event again, let it go and move on a good time while supporting very good causes that are close to my heart.
” Everyone is welcome. I hope it’s a sold out night and we make lots of money for my charity appeal.
The evening begins with an aperitif at 6:45 p.m.
The official dinner takes place at 7.15pm, followed by dancing and entertainment by renowned soul singer Michelle Lawson, winner of the first Trevor Nelson BBC Urban Music Award.
Tables for eight people are available for £320. Individual tickets cost £40 each. The dress is a tuxedo or a lounge suit.
To book, call 0161 342 3087.
