Police appeal to find owner of ‘unique’ pocket watch – Quest Media Network
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of a “unique” pocket watch that was allegedly stolen.
Police were called to a report of a burglary at a pub in Market Street in Droylsden at around 10.30pm on Monday January 3.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for burglary.
A search was conducted at the man’s address, during which a Cartier pocket watch and bracelet were recovered, which police believed to have been stolen.
Officers are asking the owners of the property to come forward so it can be returned to them.
PC Vicky New, from GMP’s Tameside district, said: “The pocket watch in particular is very unique so we think it could have great sentimental value for someone who misses it and wants it be returned to its rightful owner.”
Anyone with information about the jewelery and who it may belong to is asked to contact the police on 0161 856 9259, quoting log number 805 of 04/01/22.
Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
