Real Housewives star in Augusta for charity event

Augusta, GA (WJBF) – A celebrity with ties to Augusta is in town for a charitable cause.

Sutton Stracke, a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actor, has strong ties to the Augusta arts community.

She grew up here and attended Davidson Fine Arts. She spent many years with the Augusta Ballet, first as a dancer, then later as General Manager.

Now, she’s hosting a trunk exhibit with items from her West Hollywood boutique called Sutton, for a charitable cause.

“Well, I’ve had a relationship with the Morris Museum, I think, for over ten years now, organizing exhibitions of different types. This is the second year that we have brought my store to Augusta. Last year we did this with a few other sellers, but this is the first time we have just opened our store. So it’s going to be fun, ”Stracke said.

“I love the museum and want to continue supporting them. They didn’t have a gala… well, they had one in 2020. It was their last, but not this year. So I wanted to help in any way I could to continue to provide these funds. So we have a percentage of our sales that goes to the Morris Museum of Art. “

Stracke said the arts mean a lot to her and that she wants to help the museum weather the pandemic in any way it can.

“I think that’s one of the things we can all do in a small way, is to carry art in education or art in your righteous home, it brings joy to our lives. . And I think, more than ever, I think we need it and the more we can share that the better. “

The trunk fair takes place Tuesday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sutton’s home on Walton Way.
