Rumble with the Agents Real Estate Charity Event Returns
The ‘Rumble with the Agents’ white-collar boxing charity event, hosted by Landlord Action, will return in December of this year.
After having to cancel the events of May 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, Paul Shamplina, founder of Landlord Action, says he hopes it will be a Christmas party everyone is looking forward to.
The charity event seeks to raise funds for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care in Barnet. It is an independent charitable organization committed to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer, their caregivers, family and friends. He is particularly close to Paul and his family and works alongside NHS clinical care in an area centered on Barnet and covers much of North London and South Hertfordshire.
To date, the ‘Rumble with the Agents’ events, hosted by Paul and his wife Rita, have raised over £ 100,000 for various charities.
Paul Shamplina comments: “It has been a difficult 18 month period for many businesses and individuals, especially those who have been classified as vulnerable due to an existing health problem and therefore had to protect themselves for many months.
“Charities like Cherry Lodge have also suffered immeasurable losses due to the lockdown, the need to modify and even suspend services, which in turn has had a devastating impact on the families they support. Less than 5% of Cherry Lodge’s running costs are covered by NHS and local government grants, meaning they are almost entirely dependent on fundraising, volunteering and donations.
“If the restrictions continue to be lifted, I hope to make this the biggest Rumble event we have hosted to date and I would like to appeal to my fellow real estate professionals or help us fundraise as much as possible. “
As in previous years, real estate participants do not need existing experience as they benefit from a fully structured and supervised boxing training program to teach the right techniques and ensure optimal physical shape. Several boxers are already registered and ‘Rumble with the Agents’ is looking to fill the remaining places before the start of training in the fall.
The event features five fights, a three-course sit-down meal, charity auction and raffle, celebrity guests and a DJ. It is open to all real estate professionals (agents, suppliers and lessors) who wish to participate, attend or simply make a donation. The event will take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Holiday Inn, Avenue Banqueting, 58 Regents Park Road, London, N3 3JN.
Paul adds: “I know I’ve made more comebacks than Frank Sinatra, but at 50 I’m going to get back in the ring. Cherry Lodge is a fantastic charity and I want to do whatever I can to support them.
