The Chalk the Block charity event is scheduled for later this month in Provo

PROVO, Utah — The 11th annual Chalk the Block for Charity Utah is scheduled for August 25-27 at stores at Riverwoods in Provo.

According to a press release, this year’s theme is “The Great Outdoors”. The festival will begin on August 25 at 10 a.m. All arts are required to be completed by 3 p.m. on August 27.

The festival will feature more than 80 teams of artists. It will also highlight the category winners of the 2021 event. Featured professional artists will also be present at the event.

On-site viewing of Chalk the Block for Charity Utah will be available Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Other activities include shows, giveaways, offers and promotions at Shops at Riverwoods stores and restaurants.

Chalk the Block for Utah Charity will once again be a partner of Spectrum Academy.

“We look forward to another year of Chalk the Block,” said Chalk the Block Charity Utah committee member McKell Law. “Once again, we are honored to partner with Spectrum Academy to help illuminate the future for children with autism in our community.”

Money raised from the event will help Spectrum Academy students reach their full potential, according to Amy Baker, development coordinator at Spectrum Academy.

“Donations received at this event will continue our mission to help students reach their full academic, social and emotional potential, leading to a productive and successful future,” she said.

Although the event is free, attendees are encouraged to donate to Spectrum Academy.
