The charity tennis event at Pen-y-ffordd
A charity tennis event will take place this weekend, a Clic Sargent aid young lives against cancer.
The tennis event will be action-packed and includes the goal of hitting 2,700 strokes as a whole group.
No tennis ability is required and there will be a raffle and prizes, which include meal vouchers, PT session, golf lessons, tennis lessons and memberships.
Mike Herd, who along with Mark Adams is running the event, said: “We’re just trying to raise as much money as possible.
“Mark Adams is the coach who contacted me and when he was younger he had cancer himself and Clic Sargent helped him a lot so he always tries to help and do things for the association He asked me to help organize the event with him.
He added: “It’s a really nice and fun way to get some exercise and have a lot of fun. We have a really good raffle with lots of prizes, we also got lots of donations from local businesses so there are lots of prizes to give away, and we provide all the equipment so everyone can come and participate.
Mark Adams explained: “Clic Sargent helped with all the financial support and took a lot of the stress off my phenomenal parents. I couldn’t be more grateful to have this charity on my side.”
The event will take place at the Pen-y-ffordd tennis club on Sunday, December 12 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. They will then go to the Helsby Tennis Club from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
It is open to everyone so anyone who wants to participate can do so.
People need to book to secure their place at the event due to covid restrictions. Each person must be booked separately using the form on the website.
